In its final non-conference game before Western State Conference action begins next week, Citrus College battled but fell 4-1 to Santa Monica College Friday afternoon.
The Owls sit at 5-3-3 with the loss, while the Corsairs improve to 6-2-4 overall.
Isaac Ochoa scored the lone goal for the Owls, tapping in a shot in the 39th minute off an Alan Lira assist.
Citrus returns home on Tuesday to host Glendale College for its first conference game of the year, set for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
