Owls Resume Top Spot in WSC Standings

Citrus College resumed its spot at the top of the Western State Conference standings with a 2-1 victory at LA Pierce Tuesday night.
The Owls improve to 9-4-3 on the year and 4-1-0 in conference, while the Brahams drop to 4-8-2 overall and 2-3-0 in WSC action.
Sammy Ghandour scored both goals for the Owl, striking first in the seventh minute of action off a Hector Guevara assist. Almost 20 minutes later, Ghandour capitalized again, this time off an Isaac Ochoa assist.
Christian Sanchez finished with seven saves to pick up his sixth win of the year.
The Owls continue on the road with a 2 p.m. contest on Friday at Glendale College.
