Citrus College battled but couldn't come out on top in a 1-0 loss to the College of the Canyons Tuesday night.
The Owls slip to 9-6-3 on the year and 4-3-0 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Cougars improve to 7-10-2 overall and 1-4-2 in conference.
Citrus out-shot Canyons 10-to-9 in the contest but just couldn't find the back of the net. Isaac Ochoa had two shots on goal for the Owls, who also saw Fredy Hernandez Vasquez and Jacob Ponce put shots on frame.
The Owls return home on Friday, hosting Bakersfield College at 3 p.m.
