Citrus College Men's Soccer began their season last Friday in an away game against Oxnard.
The Owls battled in their first game of the season against the 3C2A 2022 State Champs but came up short losing the game 4-0.
Citrus College opens the year at 0-1-0, while Oxnard College begins the year at 1-0-0.
Although the Owls had a tough first half going down 3-0, they improved in the second half, only allowing one goal. The Owls could not capitalize on their three shots on goal coming from Matt Gutierrez, Chris Avalos and Richard Contreras.
The Owls are back in action this week as they travel to Cypress on Friday for a 4 p.m. match.
