Men's Soccer hosted Bakerfield College yesterday, Tuesday, October 15th in a game that resulted in a 1-1 tie.
Citrus College moves to 2-5-4 overall and 0-0-1 in conference while Bakersfield College goes to 5-4-4 on the year and 0-0-1 in conference.
The Owls got three shots and three corner kicks in the first half and after some close efforts at goal for both teams, the score remained 0-0 at halftime.
The Renegades went up 1-0 early in the second half off a header goal in the 45th minute. The Owls continued to battle for scoring opportunities when finally, in the 84th minute, Angel Aspericueta sent a shot directly into the back of the net off a perfect cross from Richard Contreras. With the score tied at 1-1 both sides scrambled for scoring chances in the final minutes of play but could not go ahead, leaving the final score a 1-1 draw.
Citrus College will look to add a win to their record this Friday as they take on Santa Monica College at home this Friday, October 18th at 3 p.m.
