Mixed Results for Owls On Day One

Walnut, CA (Men's Water Polo) -- The Citrus College Men's Water Polo got mixed results on Friday during day one of the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament. The Owls dropped their first game to the tournament's host, before rallying with a big win in game two.

Against Mt. SAC, the Owls struggled to get going falling 17-5 to one of Southern California's top teams. Sophomore Raul Castaneda drew a career high six ejections in the loss.

In the second game, Citrus shook off the opening loss and beat Saddleback College 13-12. Freshman Andy Perez blocked 15 shots, while Castaneda put in three goals for the Owls.

With the win and loss, Citrus' record moves to 2-6 on the year. The Owls will be back in the water on Saturday against Fullerton with the time still to be determined.
