Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Water Polo team took on Ventura College in WSC action on Wednesday afternoon at the Citrus College Aquatics Center. The Owls matched the Pirates goal for goal for all but one quarter, falling eventually 14-12.

The Owls would briefly tie the game up at 12 all midway through the fourth, but the Pirates scored their two in the final four minutes to preserve the win.

In the loss, Citrus was sophomores Austin Sanchez and Christian Deamer along with freshman Patrick Phommachanh who all scored three goals apiece. Deamer also added three assists and a steal.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 10-9 overall and 1-2 in WSC play. The Owls head up to Cuesta College this weekend to participate in the Cuesta Tournament II. The Owls kick the weekend off with Santa Rosa Junior College on Friday at 8:00 AM. Citrus will follow that up later in the day against Sierra College at 12:30 PM.
