Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Water Polo team bounced back from their first ever losing streak over the weekend with a 21-5 victory over visiting Santa Monica College in Western State Conference action. The game was never in doubt for the Owls, who jumped out to a 10-0 lead after one quarter.

It was a total team effort for Citrus, who had 10 different players score, six of which scored at least twice. The Owls committed just 11 turnovers and converted 58.3% of their shot attempts. Sophomore Seth Adams came off the bench and converted all four of his shot attempts, while also handing out a pair of assists. Freshman Vincent Edwards added four more scores, while freshman Mark Cordts added three. Sophomore goalie Emad Shalabi rounded out the superlatives with 10 blocks off the bench.

With the win, Citrus improves to 16-5 overall and 2-0 in WSC play. The Owls will be back at it this weekend as they take part in the Fullerton Mini-Tournament on Saturday, starting off with the day's host in the rubber match between the Owls and Hornets at 8:00 AM.
