The Men's Water Polo team continued their reign, as they added another win to their streak. Facing off in an away game versus the Santa Monica College Corsairs, the Owls started off  conference play on the right foot with a 15-8 win. Entering the game with an astonishing 13 game winning streak, the men played as if they had a chip on their shoulders. The Owls certainly made it clear that their 13 game winning streak was no fluke, and proved it through their well-balanced offensive and defensive schemes.

Right off the bat, the Owls were led offensively by no other than Johnathan Wong, who opened the game with an unassisted goal in the 6th minute. Wong led the game with a dominating 4 unassisted goals and drew 2 exclusions on the Corsairs. Wong was also in charge defensively, as he went home with a whopping 6 steals. Wong came into the game after previously earning Conference Male Athlete of the Week honors, and by the end of the 4th quarter, he proved why he was well beyond deserving of the award. Keith Green also had his fair share defensively, as he contributed a solid 5 steals for the Owls.

What looked like a quick start for Citrus, was soon played down by the Corsairs who took control of the 1st quarter, as they were not going down at home without a fight against the Owls. But it was Citrus's gritty offense who dominated the 2nd quarter and put the Owls up with a score of 7-4. In what then seemed to be a back and forth 3rd and 4th quarter between both teams, the Owls unceasingly sealed the win, with goals from Mark Naranjo and Noah Fonacier to close out the game.

The Owls will continue their pursuit to extend their 14 game winning streak. Their next obstacle starts off with tournament play against Occidental College tomorrow at 2:40 PM, in hopes of winning the Cal Baptist Lancer Invite.
