Glendora, CA -- Citrus College sophomore Sara Moore, became the third straight Citrus College Softball player to be named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American recently. Moore was just one of 10 individuals from Southern California and 20 in the entire CCCAA to earn the honors.

Freshman Miranda Gil was 2 for 4 with a HR in Citrus' 3-4 loss on Sunday.
Owls Season Ends in Regionals

Walnut, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team gave it a go on Sunday afternoon, but came up just short. The Owls season ended on the day with a 3-4 loss to host Mt. San Antonio College in the Regional Round of the 2014 CCCAA Playoffs.

Defensive Miscues Down Owls in Game One

Walnut, CA -- The scoreboard said just three errors, but the miscues were a plenty on Saturday night at Mt. San Antonio College. It all added up to doom the Owls as they fell to the host Mounties in five innings 11-3.

The Owls are set to travel to Mt. San Antonio College for the first round of playoffs this weekend.
Series Preview: Citrus at Mt. SAC – Regional Round

The Citrus College Softball team was seeded #11 in the California Community College Athletic Association Softball Southern California Playoffs. The Owls will head just a little over eight miles up Grande Avenue to take on #6 seeded Mt. San Antonio College for a best two out of three series. Game one of the series is set for 7:00 PM on Saturday evening.

Owls Sweep WSC Blue Awards

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball program, fresh off its first WSC Blue Division Championship since 2007, swept the WSC Blue Awards. The Owls had sophomore Sara Moore named Player of the Year, freshman Miranda Gil Pitcher of the Year, and Head Coach Jackie Boxley Coach of the Year.

Owls Get #11 Seed for Playoffs

Glendora, CA -- After winning their first Western State Conference Blue Division Championship last week since 2007, all that was left was to find out where they’d be seeded in the upcoming CCCAA Playoffs. The Owls found out on Saturday, as they were seeded 11th, and will head down Grand Avenue to take on #7 Mt. San Antonio College this weekend.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team earned their first Western State Conference Blue Division Conference Championship in seven years on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls swept Santa Monica, and got some help across the conference and will enter the post-season as the top seed out of the division.

Freshman Erinn Jaramillo was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI's in Citrus' win over LA Valley.
Owls Roar Past Valley 7-0

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team kept some nice momentum going into the final week of the regular season on Thursday afternoon as they roared past LA Valley College 7-0. The Owls racked up eight hits, and showed patience at the plate with five walks as they improved to 15-4 in WSC Blue play.

Citrus sophomore Sara Moore, became just the 11th Owl in the State Athlete of the Month Awards history to be named an Honorable Mention honoree.

Glendora, CA -- It's shaping up to be a big week for Citrus College sophomore Sara Moore. Two days after going 6 for 7 in a double-header at Glendale College, the lefty first baseman earned two awards. Moore was named a California Community College Athletic Association and California Community College Sports Information Association March Female Athlete of the Month Honorable Mention Honoree. In addition, Moore was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Week #10 Southern California Player of the Week.

Owls Keep Pace With Sweep at Glendale

Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team kept pace in the Western State Conference Blue Division race with a crucial sweep at Glendale College on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls mercied the host Vaqueros in the first game 10-1, and then battled to a 4-3 win in game two.

Sophomore Victoria Baltazar picked up her first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, in Citrus' 6-4 upset of State #12 College of the Desert.
Owls Split With Top Teams In State

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball program played host to two of the Top 12 teams in the State on Saturday afternoon when they hosted State #3 Santiago Canyon College and State #12 College of the Desert. In the opener against the Hawks the Owls dropped a close 3-2 contest, before rallying with a 6-4 victory over the Roadrunners to close out the day.

Owls Come Up Short At Antelope Valley

Lancaster, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team hit the road for a tough Western State Conference Blue Division contest on Thursday afternoon, and came back home just short. The Owls matched host Antelope Valley College hit for hit, but an error proved costly in what ended up a 5-6 loss.

Owls Settle for Split at Canyons

Santa Clarita, CA -- For about two hours, the Citrus College Softball team was back on top of the Western State Conference Blue Division standings. The Owls hit the road on Tuesday to take on College of the Canyons in a show down of the top two teams in the WSC Blue. Citrus took the first game 8-6 to pull even with the Cougars in the standings, but surrendered a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh game in game number two, falling 5-4.

Big Win

Monterrey Park, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team picked up a big win on Friday afternoon when they knocked off East Los Angeles College 4-2 in Monterrey Park. The Owls overcame an early deficit and won in extra innings, for their biggest win since their home victory over Cypress College earlier in the year.

Different and the Same

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team hosted Los Angeles Mission College on Tuesday afternoon for a WSC Blue Division double-header. The two games were completely different in how the Owls won, but the results were the same as Citrus won 4-1 and 15-4.
