Owls Shutdown by State #2 Mt. SAC

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Softball team's offense continued to sputter on Saturday afternoon when they hosted State #2 Mt. San Antonio College. Citrus managed just three total hits, in a 8-0 six inning loss to the Mounties.
The Owls kept things close enough through the first four innings, limiting the Mounties just two runs in that span. Mt. SAC would blow things open in the top of the fifth with four unmatched runs. The Mounties kept it rolling into the sixth with two more, while Citrus managed to put a runner in scoring position just twice on the day.
With the loss, Citrus drops to 8-6 on the season. The Owls will hit the road on Thursday March 9th to start off conference play against Los Angeles Mission College. First pitch is set for 2:30 PM.
