Victorville, CA - The Citrus College Softball team, ranked #10 in the State, exploded for a season high 24 runs on Thursday afternoon when they headed out to Victor Valley College for a WSC East contest. Citrus scored runs in each of the first four innings on their way to a 24-0 win.

The Owls wasted little time in jumping all over the host Rams, scoring seven runs in each of the first two innings. Citrus would add five runs in each of the third and fourth innings to reach that 24 run total. Sophomore Jade Nua was 3 for 3 at the plate with three runs and five RBIs, while freshman Vanessa Garcia went 5 for 5 with four runs and seven RBIs. With the win, Citrus improves to 11-7 overall and 1-1 in WSC East play. The Owls will be back out on the road for a key early WSC East meeting when they take on College of the Canyons in a double-header. Game #1 is set for 1:00 PM.
