Regular Season Ends In Big Win Over Glendale

Citrus Softball's 2019 regular season is in the books. The Owls wrapped up their super competitive schedule with a shutout win over Glendale on the road on Tuesday. Putting a cap on a solid conference season, the Owls handled the Vaqueros easily in the 7-0 win. 

Danielle Dominguez picked up the win from the circle for the Owls, pitching 5 innings and striking out 5. Becky Winder pithed in relief for Dominguez for 2 innings, striking out 2 and allowing just 1 hit. 

Giavanna Muenz had a monster day at the plate. The Sophomore was 3 for 5 on the day, hitting a homer and 2 singles for 4 RBI's and 2 runs. Brooke Fuss had an efficient day batting as she went 2 for 3 with a double, a triple, 1 RBI and 1 run. Alex Valenzuela was also 2 for 3, coming up with a double, a single, 2 RBI's and a run. 

Citrus ends the regular season 21-19 overall and 9-5 in the Western State Conference East. The Owls finish conference play tied for the #3 spot with LA Valley, and are on standby to see if they qualify for a berth in the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
