No. 19-ranked Citrus College got hits but couldn't send runners home in a 4-0 loss on the road at Bakersfield College Thursday afternoon.
The Owls slip to 13-6 on the year and 1-1 in Western State Conference action, while the Renegades improve to 12-5 overall, 1-0 in conference.
Five Owls had hits in the game: Leah Morales, Madelyn Hajj, Samantha Meyndert, Rylee Praytor and Desiree Loza.
Citrus returns home for a pair of games, first taking on LA Mission College on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. before hosting Antelope Valley College on Thursday, also at 2:30 p.m.
