Owls Split With Vaqueros

Citrus College had a busy Tuesday Afternoon as they made up a rain delay game and played a regularly scheduled game against Glendale College. The Owls would come from behind in the first game picking up a win and lose 4-3 in the second game. The Owls record stands at 18-9 and 4-3 in conference, while the Vaqueros are 14-12 and 3-4 in conference. 

Caitlin Kelley did it all for the Owls in the comeback victory over the Vaqueros she went (2-for-3) from the plate, with three RBIs, and scored the game winning run. In the Circle Kelley pitched a complete game improving her record to (9-3) on the year. 

The Owls would not be able to carry their momentum from the make-up game into their next matchup as they would lose 4-3 to the Vaqueros.

Madelyn Hajj would be the top performer at the plate for the Owls going (2-for-3), with three RBIs, and adding another home run making it her fourth of the year. Desiree Loza would also go (2-for-2) from the plate hitting a double. 

The Owls will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to LA Valley College for a conference matchup. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
