Citrus College was firing on all cylinders Thursday afternoon as they claimed a 15-1 run-rule Victory over LA Valley College. The Owls improve to 19-9 on the year and 5-3 in conference, while the Monarchs slip to 1-22 overall and 0-8 in conference.

Citrus jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead after the first two innings, scoring three runs in the first and two in the second. The Owls would add four more runs in the fourth and give up a run making the game 9-1. In the fifth the Owls would put the game out of reach by scoring six more runs, claiming a 15-1 road win.

The Owls finished with fifteen hits from ten different batters. Marissa Ramirez would have a breakthrough game going (2-for-4) at the plate with four RBIs and a home run. Madelyn Hajj would continue her dominance at the plate going (3-for-4) with four RBIs, hit a home run, and score four runs. Leah Morales and Desiree Loza would both go (2-for-3) from the plate. 

Caitlin Kelley would improve her record to 10-3 on the year. Kelley pitched four innings only giving up one hit and one run.  

The Owls will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Moorpark College for a double-header. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
