Two Owls Will Continue Collegiate Careers

Two Citrus College Softball athletes will continue their collegiate careers.

Gwendalyn Rivas is set to join Indiana Tech while her teammate, Leah Morales, is headed to Warner University.

Rivas, sophomore outfielder, appreaded in 23 games during the 2023-2024 season where in 34 at bats had nine hits, 10 runs, seven RBIs and two stolen bases.

Morales, sophomore outfielder, played in 75 games over the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons where she rakced up 108 hits, 76 runs, 17 RBIs, 40 stolen bases and one homerun. Over her two-year career with Citrus College, Leah slashed .415/.455/.473 on her way to earning All-Western State Conference second-team honors in 2023 before earning All-Western State Conference first-team honors in 2024. Morales, who led the Owls in hits, batting average, runs scored and stolen bases looks to help Warner University during the upcoming 2024-25 season.
