Citrus College Softball hosted Golden West College today, falling 7-2.
Citrus College moves to 2-9 overall on the season, while Golden West College goes to 7-2
The Owls scored first in the bottom of the second inning when Caitlin Kelley hit a two-run homerun to put the Owls ahead 2-0. Golden West College scored a combined seven runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings to secure the 7-2 win.
Ava Camarena and Alivia Martinez both went 1-for-3, while Caitlin Kelley went 1-for-1 with one homerun, one run scored and two RBIs.
Citrus College will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Cypress College next Thursday, February 27th for a 2 p.m. game.
