Pasadena, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team made it two in a row to start the season on Saturday afternoon. The Owls took on Southwestern College in the second day of the Veterans Day Tournament hosted by Pasadena City College, and Citrus took care of the task at hand with a 51-42 win.
Sophomore Ella Rodriguez continued her hot start with her first double-double of the season with 14 points and a team high 14 boards. Sophomore Nicole Zugasti followed up her 11 point performance yesterday with a team high 16 points and threw in eight rebounds to boot.
With the win, Citrus improves to 2-0 on the young season. The Owls will close out their weekend tomorrow afternoon when they take on Irvine Valley College, ranked #15 in the SoCal Pre-Season Poll at 2:00 PM.
