Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team is keeping their post-season hopes alive and are going to take their season down to the wire. The Owls got another much needed victory on Wednesday night when they overcame a three point halftime deficit to secure a 53-50 win at West Los Angeles College.

Citrus was paced by sophomore Sarah Rebibo who scored a game high 17 points off the bench for the Owls. Rebibo also distributed a game high four assists, and recorded a game high four steals in the process. Sophomore Nicole Zugasti recorded her second straight double-double and sixth overall with 14 points and a game high 13 rebounds.

The Owls punished the host Wildcats on the glass outrebounding them 46-28. Of particular note was their work on the offensive boards where they posted a 13-3 advantage. Freshman Jaelyn Wilson snagged 11 boards for the Owls, and freshman Olivia Montgomery made her long awaited return to the floor posting nine points and four rebounds in 17 minutes of work.

With the win, 16-11 on the year and 5-6 in WSC South play. The Owls have one final regular season contest remaining on their schedule when they host Santa Monica College at home on Saturday night in another must win game. Tip is set for 7:00 PM.
