Rancho Cucamonga, CA -- Sophomore Jaelyn Wilson scored a career high 27 points, leading the Owls to a third place finish in the 2013 Panther Pride Tournament. Wilson's career day sparked Citrus to a 65-54 win over conference rival Glendale College.

The game was back and forth throughout the most of the contest. Glendale controlled the lead for first part of the first half leading by as much as six with 10 minutes to go. Citrus used a small 8-0 run getting three straight points from Wilson, a trey from freshman Vanessa Garcia, and a lay-up by sophomore Natalie Lam to go up 16-14 with just under seven minutes left in the first half. The two teams then traded the lead back and forth four more times before the end of the period with the Owls getting the last lead after a pair of Tyvette White free-throws made it 26-24 headed into the break.

In the second half, Citrus scored nine of the first twelve points, going up 35-27 with 16:10 left after a layup by Wilson. Citrus' lead never reached double digits early in the half though as the Vaqueros kept it close throughout. Glendale's last best chance came when they got the Citrus lead down to one at 48-49 with 7:10 to go, but the Owls answered with a 8-0 run with four of those eight points courtesy of Wilson.

With the win, Citrus improves to 3-3 on the year. The Owls will be back out on the court this Friday December 13th when they take on Santa Ana College in the opening round of the Moorpark Classic Tournament hosted by Moorpark College. The game is set for a 1:00 PM tip.
