Moorpark, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball program opened up the 2013 Moorpark Classic with a 30-24 lead over SoCal #14 Santa Ana College. Unfortunately the Owls couldn't hang on to that lead as they lost to another ranked team 53-56.

Citrus dominated the Dons on the boards outrebounding Santa Ana 49-37. The downfall for the Owls though would be their 19 turnovers compared to just 9 for the Dons. In the loss, Citrus was led by sophomore Jaelyn Wilson's 21 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Tyvette White added 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 3-4 on the year. The Owls fall into the Consolation Round where they will take on Antelope Valley College, who is a new member of the WSC South, at 1:00 PM at Moorpark College.
