Moorpark, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team advanced to the Consolation Championship of the 2013 Moorpark Classic on Saturday afternoon with a strong 61-45 win over new WSC South member Antelope Valley College. The Owls were strong at the charity stripe going 20 of 22 for the game in the win.

Sophomores Jaelyn Wilson and Taylor Jackson paced the Owls effort on the day. Wilson accounted for nearly half of all of Citrus' points with 30 points, while adding 15 rebounds for good measure. Wilson was 11 of 20 from the field and a perfect 7 for 7 at the free-throw line. Jackson meanwhile did almost all of her damage from the stripe, going 12 of 14 from the free-throw line before puling up 14 points to go along with a pair of assists and three steals.

With the win, Citrus moves back to .500 at 4-4 on the year. The Owls will be back out at Moorpark College tomorrow afternoon at 11:00 AM when they take on the California Lutheran University JV squad.
