Owls Suffer Fifth Loss to Ranked Team

Ventura, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team suffered through their worst loss of the year on Friday evening in the opening game of the 2013 Ventura Crossover. The Owls scored a season low 33 points, and suffered their fifth loss to a ranked team when they lost to State #7 Pasadena City College 65-33.

The Owls struggled on the night shooting a paltry 25.5% from the floor and going 1 of 10 from three. To boot, the normally consistent Owls struggled at the free-throw line as well where they were 8 of 20. The result was just 14 total points in the first half and 19 more in the second half for Citrus.

In the loss, Citrus was paced by sophomores Jaelyn Wilson and Natalie Lam who both scored a team high seven points . With the loss Citrus falls back to .500 at 5-5 on the year.
