Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team's six game winning streak was snapped on Wednesday night at Bakersfield College. The Owls struggled to their second lowest scoring output of the season, in a 50-55 loss to the Renegades.

The Owls struggled from the floor all night long shooting just 27.4% from the field. Citrus even struggled at the charity stripe where they are usually pretty solid, shooting just 60.9% from there. In the first half alone, the Owls were held to 6 for 30 shooting from the floor. That coupled with a whopping 31 turnovers was too much for Citrus to overcome.

In the loss, Citrus was led by sophomore Jaelyn Wilson who scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Sophomore Jasmin Longtin secured a team high 13 rebounds, while sophomore Taylor Jackson had 10 points and five assists.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 11-6 overall and 2-1 in Western State Conference South Division play. The Owls will be back at home on Saturday when they host Antelope Valley College at 3:00 PM.
