Jackson, Montgomery, and Wilson Named All-Conference
Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Basketball team had three Owls named to the 2014 All-Western State Conference South Division First Team on Sunday. Sophomore's Taylor Jackson, Olivia Montgomery, and Jaelyn Wilson all took home the award.
Jackson capped off a fine single season with the Owls, averaging 9.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and a team leading 4.5 assists per game. Jackson was fourth overall in her assists per game average and had her best game of the year in the WSC South opener against Santa Monica College when she scored 19 points, handed out 12 assists, and grabbed eight boards.
Montgomery meanwhile, didn't make her season debut until conference play began, but made her presence known. Montgomery averaged 14.7 points and 6.4 rebounds a game. Montgomery's highlight came against Bakersfield, when Montgomery scored a career high 28 and grabbed a career high 18 rebounds.
Wilson wrapped up an impressive two year campaign, by putting together one of the finest season for an Owl. Wilson averaged 15.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.1 steals a game. Wilson recorded 13 double-doubles on the year and posted a career high 30 points against Antelope Valley midway through the season.
