Culver City, CA - Headed into their 2015-2016 regular season finale on Saturday afternoon the Citrus College Women's Basketball team couldn't do anything about their post-season fate, and make their case when they faced a tough West Los Angeles College squad. The Owls did just that, and will now await their fate, after a 89-71 victory over the host Wildcats.

Citrus wasted little time in gassing up their high octane offense, outscoring West LA by eight in the first quarter. The Owls would extend that lead by 10 more points in the second quarter, and head into the break up 18, 49-31. In the second half, Citrus managed to keep the Wildcats at bay by outscoring them by three. West LA would get those three points in the fourth quarter, but nothing else, as the Owls won by their halftime margin of 18.

With the win, the Owls finish a 17-10 overall record and 10-4 mark in WSC South play, finishing in a tie for second place with LA Valley. Citrus will now wait to find out whether or not they qualified for the 2016 CCCAA post-season, having firmly cemented themselves as a bubble team. Citrus' last appearance in the playoffs came during the 2008-2009 season.
