Glendora, CA - After finishing their 2015-2016 campaign with a 17-10 overall record, the Citrus College Women's Basketball team have qualified for the 2016 CCCAA SoCal Playoffs for the first time in seven years. The Owls' last appearance in the post-season came back in the 2009 playoffs. The Owls come into the post-season as the #18 overall seed and will travel to #15 Chaffey College on Wednesday for a 7PM contest.

The Owls strung together easily their best season since that aforementioned 2008-2009 squad went 22-10 in the regular season. That year Citrus went 8-4 in WSC South play, finishing in a tie for second with West LA College. This year Citrus went 10-4 in WSC South play and finished tied for 2nd Place with LA Valley College.

Wednesday night's opponent Chaffey College finished 16-11 overall and finished in 2nd place in the Foothill Conference. It's the 2nd meeting between the two schools this season and the 7th meeting in the last 11 years. The Panthers are 6-0 against the Owls in that span, including a 76-65 win over Citrus earlier this year in the 3rd Place Game of the San Jacinto Lion's Club Lady Eagle Tip-Off Tournament.
