Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore women's basketball player Jessica Rosas has signed a scholarship offer with NAIA member Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Rosas is the second member from the 2016-2017 Citrus College Women's Basketball team to sign a scholarship offer.

"It's going to be a new and exciting experience for me," Rosas said. "I know my basketball career isn't over, and I'm looking forward to contributing to their program. Going to Bacone and playing for them is all about fulfilling my dreams."

After averaging just 1.9 points per game as a freshman, Rosas exploded in her sophomore campaign, averaging 11.1 points per contest. Rosas also averaged 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, becoming just the second player in program history to average at least 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. In addition to her improvement on the floor, Rosas was a two-time "Scholar-Baller" for Citrus.

"Citrus has helped me in my growth on and off the floor," Rosas said. "While serving as the team captain I learned a lot about leadership, and that's something I'm going to take with me to the next level."

"Jessica worked hard this past off-season to improve all aspects of her game, and that hard work showed up on the court this past year," said Head Women's Basketball Coach Linnae Barber. "Jessica has never shied away from doing whatever it takes to get the job done, and that attitude will serve her well at Bacone."
