Women's Basketball solidified themselves in the top half of the WSC East conference on Saturday when they travelled to Barstow and beat the Vikings 64-51.

The Owls counted on sound team offense to catapult them to the win. Citrus recorded 22 assists as a team, a testament to their tight knit bond as a unit and a solid sign that Head Coach Linnae Barber-Matthews' team first philosophy is being executed.

Leading the way for the Owls on the offensive end was Kyannie Brown who scored 20 points on 8 for 13 shooting and 8 rebounds, 4 of those being offensive boards. Diana Navarro was close behind with 15 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds, along with 4 three pointers. Celeste Fekay scored 13 off the bench and tallied up 7 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Keely Wall continued to contribute a complete stat line to the effort with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

Citrus improves to 2-1 in conference play and currently sits in the #3 spot.  The Owls are 13-8 overall.

The Owls travel to Antelope Valley on Wednesday for a WSC East matchup. Tipoff is at 7:00 PM.
