Citrus College battled back from an 11-point hole at halftime but couldn't complete the comeback, falling 67-60 to LA Valley.
The Owls slip to 10-11 on the year, 1-6 in the Western State Conference. The Monarchs improve to 8-10, 3-4 with the win.
Giselle Garcia-Nunez was the lone scorer in double figures for the Owls, finishing the game with 24 points and added 10 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the year. Julie Garcia Man had a monstrous night off the glass, posting 17 rebounds – just three boards shy of tying the single-game record Garcia-Nunez set earlier this year.
The Owls head to Bakersfield College on Wednesday, tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
