After stunning Bakersfield College last week, Citrus College did it again with a 66-63 victory to sweep the Renegades in Western State Conference-South action.

The Owls improve to 11-11 on the year and 2-6 in WSC-South play with the win. The Renegades drop to 16-4 overall, 5-2 in conference.

Giselle Garcia-Nunez posted her 13th double-double of the year with 18 points and an impressive 17 rebounds. She also had two blocks on the night. Katherine Goostrey led the Owls with 23 points and dished out five assists, while Reanne Reola chipped in 12 points and Julie Garcia Man finished with six assists.

The Owls came up fired up and jumped out to a 26-14 lead after the first 10 minutes. Bakersfield battled back to tie things up at 33-33 heading into halftime, but Citrus wasn't about to roll over.

Citrus outscored the Renegades 24-15 to take back control of the game and held on, despite a late surge from the home team.

The Owls held the Renegades to just 15.8-percent shooting from the perimeter while finishing the game shooting 42.9-percent from distance.

Citrus returns home to host West LA on Saturday, tipping off at 5 p.m. in the Owls Nest.
