Citrus College saw some big numbers from its two tallest players in its second game of the season, despite dropping a 68-48 loss to Rio Hondo College at the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic.
The Owls move to 0-2 on the year while the Roadrunners improve to 1-1 overall.
Fresh off her collegiate debut, Cayla Williams grabbed another double-double with 14 points (7-for-13) and 17 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. Giselle Garcia-Nunez led the Owls with 19 points and was one board shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.
Citrus closes out the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic Sunday morning bright and early with a 9 a.m. tip time.
