Citrus College closed out the Okawa Classic with a 71-60 defeat to host East Los Angeles College.

The Owls drop to 4-10 as they conclude non-conference action, while the Huskies improve to 4-13 overall.

As a team, Citrus shot well and finished the night with a 40.4 field goal percentage (19-for-47) but couldn't keep ELAC off the glass as the Huskies scored 18 second-chance points.

Giselle Garcia-Nunez led the Owls in scoring for the fifth game in a row, posting 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting. She was just one board shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.

Reanne Reola followed with 13 points, while Felicity Mendoza chipped in nine points, dished out four assists, and grabbed five steals in the game.

The Owls shift their attention to Western State Conference action as Bakersfield comes to the Owls' Nest for a 5 p.m. contest on Jan. 4.
