In its final home game of the year, Citrus College battled but came up short in a 58-50 loss to Antelope Valley College.
The Owls drop to 8-18 on the year and 4-8 in Western State Conference-South. The Marauders improve to 13-14 overall and 8-5 in conference.
Giselle Garcia-Nunez led the Owls with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Joceline Escamilla also posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards. Reanne Reola rounded out the scorers in double figures with 12 points and grabbed three steals.
Before the game, five sophomores were honored: Reola, Felicity Mendoza, Joceline Escamilla, Madison Salisbury, and Garcia-Nunez. The Owls and Marauders also celebrated the 50th anniversary of Title IX together.
The Owls close out the year at West LA on Friday, tipping off at 5 p.m.
