Citrus College scored on its first possession and never let go in a dominating 82-33 win over El Camino College Wednesday night.
The Owls improve to 3-1 on the year, while the Warriors drop to 0-3.
Four Owls finished in double figures, led by Jolleen Olia who had 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Gabby Valdez followed with 13 points (5-for-11) and Bianca Robles chipped in 11 points (4-for-9). Liz Camargo rounded out the foursome with 10 points.
Sammy Martinez led Citrus with seven boards, while Alyssa Garcia, Cece Banks, and Emily Diaz grabbed six rebounds each to help the Owls dominate the glass 51-to-33.
As a team, Citrus shot 41 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent from three-point range.
The Owls look to carry momentum into their home debut on Friday, hosting Irvine Valley College at 3 p.m.
