No. 24-ranked Citrus College gave it everything it had in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome No. 7-ranked Glendale College in a 64-53 loss Wednesday night.

The Owls slip to 14-5 overall and 4-1 in the Western State Conference, while the Vaqueros improve to 17-2 and hold onto the top spot in the WSC standings as the only undefeated team in conference action.

Jolleen Olia led the Owls with 18 points (7-for-20) on the night, while Alyssa Garcia (4-for-5) chipped in 12 points with four big threes. Leilani Argueta and Kristin Morella added eight points apiece.

Citrus found itself trailing by 20 points heading into the final quarter but never gave up. The Owls clawed their way back within nine points with under 30 seconds on the clock, but it was a little too late as the Vaqueros held on for the 64-53 victory.

The Owls look to bounce back on Saturday, hosting Antelope Valley College at 5 p.m.
