No. 24-ranked Citrus College bounced back with an 82-75 victory over Antelope Valley College Saturday evening.

The Owls improve to 15-5 overall and 5-1 in the Western State Conference, while the Marauders drop to 11-9 on the year and 3-3 in conference.

Jolleen Olia led the Owls with 28 points (9-for-13), while Leilani Argueta followed with 17 points (6-for-13) and Liz Camargo chipped in 12 points (5-for-13).

Olia scored the first points of the night and the Owls never let go of the lead, despite the Marauders tying the game three times.

AVC made things interesting late in the game after tying the game at 68-68 with just under four minutes left in the fourth, but Olia and Alyssa Garcia made back-to-back baskets to keep some distance for Citrus. Olia then sealed the 82-75 victory by sinking her free throws in the final seconds of the game to give the Owls the victory.

Citrus closes out the first half of the WSC schedule with a 7 p.m. tipoff at West LA on Wednesday.
