No. 22-ranked Citrus College couldn't hold off West LA College in the fourth quarter, falling 65-57 in the final Western State Conference game of the season.
The Owls slip to 19-9 overall and 9-5 in conference, while the Wildcats improve to 17-11 on the year, 7-7 in WSC action.
Jolleen Olia became the first Owl to break 600 points in a single season [since records were kept in 2007], setting a new program record in the process. The freshman finished with 17 points (7-for-19) to put her season tally to 601.
Gabby Valdez, who was honored before tipoff as the Owls' lone sophomore, followed with 14 points (5-for-11), while Sammy Martinez grabbed a double-double with 12 points (6-for-13) and 18 rebounds – the 10th-best output from an Owl.
The Owls will wait to see their postseason fate on Sunday.
