Three Owls Earn All-Conference Honors

After a strong season in which the Citrus College Women's Basketball team finished 18-11 overall and made the 3C2A SoCal Regional playoffs for the second consecutive season, three Owls were selected to the All-Western State Conference-South team. 

Jolleen Olia and Kristin Morella were selected to the all-conference first-team and Breanna Escobedo earned honorable mention. Along with being named all-conference, Kristin Morella also picked up 6th Man of the Year of the Western State Conference-South. 

Olia turned in another strong season in 2024-25, averaging 14.2 points per game (9th in conference), 3.3 assists per game, four rebounds per game and 2.5 steals per game. Olia now stands alone atop the career scoring record for the program with 1,053 career points. Olia ranks 2nd all time in program history with a career average of 17.8 points per game, 1st all time in career free throw percentage (88.2), 2nd all time in career three-pointers made (98) and 3rd all time in career steals (129). 

Morella provided a spark off the bench for the Owls this season while averaging 13.4 points per game (10th in conference), 2.2 assists per game, 2.6 rebounds per game and 1.9 steals per game. Morella's 32-point game against Bakersfield College last month was the 6th most points scored in a single game in program history. Against Santa Monica College, Morella recorded eight steals which was good for 5th all time in program history for a single game. Morella finishes her Citrus College career 8th all time in career points scored with 739 and 3rd all time with a three-point field goal percentage of 31%. 

Escobedo played in 29 games for the Owls this season, averaging 10.3 points per game, 4.4 assists per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 2.7 steals per game. Escobedo's 79 steals this season was good for 4th in conference and 4th all time in single-season program history. The 49 three-pointers Escobedo made this season is good for 9th all time in program single-season history.
