Delgado Leads Owls Best Effort at San Dimas Canyon

San Dimas, CA (Women's Golf) -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team hosted the rest of their Western State Conference opponents at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course yesterday. The Owls' familiarity with their home course paid off as two Owls came in under 90, and freshman Kandace Delgado finished sixth overall the first Top 10 individual finish for the Owls this season.

Delgado would come into the clubhouse after shooting an 86, which tied for sixth place overall. Sophomore Melissa Salas finished just outside the top 10 with a round of 89, her best of the young season. Rounding out the Owls scoring was freshmen Kristen Masters and Marisa Piceno who shot a 114 and 115 respectively.

Citrus will try and build on Wednesday's performance on Monday when they travel to North for the WSC match hosted by Bakersfield College. Tee-time is set for 10:30 AM at Stockdale Country Club.
