Morro Bay, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Golf team was down their best player at this weekend's North South Invitational, but they weren't out. The Owls finished a respectable 13th out of 20 participating teams in the two day tournament on California's Central Coast.

Sophomore Kandace Delgado paced the Owls over the weekend firing an opening round of 87 at Morro Bay Golf Course, before coming back with a 90 on day number two. Sophomore Deondra Alcantara stumbled on day one with a 99, but rebounded nicely on day two with an 87. Sophomore's Kristen Masters and Marisa Piceno rounded out the Owls scoring with two day totals of 207 and 209 respectively. As a team, the Owls shot 777 tying with West Hills Community College.

The Owls will be back out on the course next week when they host their own Western State Conference tournament. Citrus will receive the rest of the WSC at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course next Wednesday, beginning at 11:00 AM.
