Pasadena, CA -- For the second straight week, the Citrus College Women's Golf team came in second place at a Western State Conference Event. The Owls posted a team score of 372 and finished six strokes ahead of third place Santa Barbara City College at the WSC Glendale Event at Brookside #1.

Freshman Lexandra So continued to tear up the links on Monday afternoon, carding a one under par 74. So's round of 74 was a full three strokes better than the next closest individual from College of the Canyons. Behind So was freshman Jamie Lopez who posted an uncharacteristic but still strong round of 84, good enough for third place overall. Freshman Sara Asencio and Brittany Thelen rounded out the scoring with a 104 and 109 respectively.

The Owls will be right back out on Brookside this coming weekend when they take part in the final regular season event of the 2014 year. Citrus will take on the rest of the WSC for the last time at the 2014 Western State Conference Championships over two rounds at Brookside #2. The first round is scheduled for a 11:00 AM start on Sunday October 26th.
