Pasadena, CA — Citrus College Freshman Lexandra So made history on Sunday and Monday, becoming the first ever Citrus College Women's Golfer to win the Western State Conference Championship Individual Title. Fellow frosh Jamie Lopez wasn't far behind her, finishing in third place as both will move on to the Southern California Championships.

So went wire to wire for the Owls, opening up the two day tournament with a 77. So followed that up on Monday morning bettering herself by four strokes with a 73 for a two day total of 150, 16 strokes better than the second place finisher. Lopez meanwhile fared well, with an opening day 82 and then a second round 86 for a two day total of 168. Lopez finished just two strokes off of second place.

As a team, Citrus finished third. The Owls were in second place after day one with a team score of 382, five strokes better than Santa Barbara City College. The Vaqueros came back with a vengeance though on day two dropping 15 strokes, while Citrus added six strokes for a two day total of 770.

So and Lopez's season will continue into the second week of November when they will participate in the 2014 CCCAA Southern California Championships. Tee-time for round one is set for Monday November 10th at 7:30 AM at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course.
