Owls Drop to Third at WSC Glendale

Pasadena, CA -- A week after finishing in first place at the WSC Event hosted by Bakersfield College, the Citrus College Women's Golf team dropped to a disappointing third place on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Glendale College at Brookside Golf Course #1. Santa Barbara reclaimed the top spot, beating second place Canyons by five strokes, and the Owls by eight.

Sophomore Lexandra So was the top Owl in the clubhouse with a 78. So was one of just two golfers to break 80 on the day and finished in second place individually. Three strokes back of So was sophomore Jamie Lopez who fired a 81, good for fourth place individually. Three more strokes back of Lopez was freshman Lexi Tunstad rattled of an 84, which placed her 7th individually. Rounding out the top four scores for Citrus was sophomore Brittany Thelen who shot a 96.

The Owls have one more regular season conference match left on their 2015 schedule and that's next Monday at the WSC Event hosted by Moorpark College. Tee-time is set for 10:30 AM at Simi Hills Golf Course.
