Owls Are Runner-Up at '15 State Championships

Results

Morro Bay, CA - The 2015 Citrus College Women's Golf team, which will go down in program history as the most successful team in the program's iteration, wrapped up its campaign on Monday afternoon with a runner-up finish at the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association Women's Golf State Championships. 

Sophomore Jamie Lopez paced the Owls with a 78. Sophomore Lexandra So was two strokes back with an 80. Freshman Lexi Tunstad came into the clubhouse with an 87, while freshman Mackenzy Shafer had the last scoring round with a 100.

As a team, the Owls shot a 345 for a combined to day total of 682, behind first place Santa Barbara City, and ahead of Reedley and Sierra. Individually Lopez's 154 was good enough for second overall, while So's 159 was 4th overall. Tunstad meanwhile tied for 16th overall with a two day total of 172.
