Tunstad and Martinez Lead Owls at AVC

Palmdale, CA - The Citrus College Women's Golf team posted another second place finish on Wednesday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College. The Owls were paced by sophomore Lexi Tunstad and freshman Alexandra Martinez as Citrus cleared the day's host by 27 strokes for a strong second place finish. 

 Tunstad came into the clubhouse with a round of 80, which was good for 6th best individually. Martinez meanwhile was just three strokes back with an 83, which had her tied for 8th individually on the day. Rounding out the scoring rounds were Freshmen Lauren Madueno and Angela Adams, who posted rounds of 100 and 108 respectively. Freshman Grazia Watkins posted a non-scoring round of 114. 

The Owls will be off over the weekend before hosting the WSC on Monday at their annual event. Tee-time is set for 11:30 AM at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course.
