Oceguera Posts Best Score to Lead Owls

Citrus College took seventh as a team in the final round of the Western State Conference Finals on Monday, while four Owls qualified for the SoCal Championship.

Erika Oceguera led the Owls with a career-best 79 on the day, shaving 10 strokes off her first-round score. Victoria Cirrito followed with a 98, while Katie Knudsen posted a 101 and Samantha Gonzalez finished with a 104.

As a team, Citrus finished with a 382.

Oceguera, Alyssa Barron, Gonzalez and Cirrito each qualified for the SoCal Championship, which tees off on Sunday, Nov. 6, and concludes on Monday, Nov. 7.
