Citrus College teed off the new season at home, hosting the first Western State Conference meet of the year at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course.

The Owls took fourth out of seven total teams, posting a 459 team score. College of the Canyons won the event with a 334, followed by Bakersfield with a 348.

Isabelle Olivas-Lowell led the Owls with the second-best score on the day. She finished with a 77 on the day and was just three strokes off the Canyons' Motoko Shimoji, who led the field with a 74.

Citrus heads to Santa Barbara City Golf Course next, teeing off at 11 a.m. on Sept. 11.
