Olivas-Lowell Wins Individual WSC Championship

Citrus College's Isabelle Olivas-Lowell won the individual Western State Conference Championship Monday after shooting a 151 (76-75) over the two-day tournament.

The Owls finished seventh with a team score of 868 and saw four Owls qualify for the SoCal Regional next weekend.

Cora Averweg was second on the team with a 236 (117-119), while Makenzey de Ridder followed with a 240 (116-124). Sofia Sandoval posted a 247 (127-120) after shaving seven strokes off her score from the first day and Ava Johnson was right behind her with a 249 (121-128). Lidia Cuevas rounded out the Owls with a 252 (124-128).

Olivas-Lowell, de Ridder, Averweg and Sandoval qualified for the regional, while Johnson and Cuevas are alternates.
